"0": "Lying north of Cormyr is an area surrounded by many stories and legends. Many are its dangers, ranging from orcs and other Border Raiders to Zhentarim to dragons, but the Purple Dragoons of Cormyr are trying to patrol parts of it (as Cormyr claims the area). This wild region has been the source for many tales and strange legends. \n\nThe Crystal Tower of Sherrea\n\nWhen Myth Drannor was still young, Sherrea the Crystal Mage came to that city. She was a skilled and noble mage with roots in fallen Netheril, who sought to spread knowledge. She studied for many years in Myth Drannor, and decided to build a center of learning closer to Cormyr. Thus she built a crystal tower in the Stonelands. Her tower became a school of knowledge and the Art, and quite a few mages and scholars gathered there. For a time, the school flourished, and much lore and many items of Art were created.\nThe tower disappeared without trace and today no one knows exactly where it stood. Some say it was destroyed by a goblin horde, others say that Sherrea used magic to hide the school from the goblins. \n\nThe Seven Spires of Lun-Bea\n\nThis is a tale often told by oldtimers in the Purple Dragoons to new ensigns on their first long-patrol in the Stonelands.\n\nOnce there was a great civilization in the Farsea Marshes, which fell before Netheril. On of the greatest achievements this civilization created was the Seven Spires of Lun-Bea. This incredible fortress was built somewhere in the western Stonelands. It was the winter palace for the nobles of that realm, where they spent the winter in great luxury. Magic provided most for its inhabitants, and it contained riches beyond most men's imagination. When the civilization fell because of a great plague, the few who lived in the Seven Spires used magic to conceal the fortress from its plague-ridden countrymen, to save themselves.\nThe fortress survived, and is still somewhere out there in the Stonelands.\n\nThe Sparkling Needle\nOne of the more common themes for the Stonelands are ancient mage towers that no one has seen since their owner hid the tower. One of the many such tales is that of the Sparkling Needle.\nBuilt by Rauthilar of the Swooping Raven, his tower stood on the northern foothills of the Storm Horns, well into the High Moor (not the High Moor in the Savage Frontier). His tower was influenced by elven architecture and its main component was crystal. At sunset, it appeared as a sparkling needle in the distance (and hence its name). Rauthilar was most known for his habit of using ravens with his Art, as well as his love for flying. He was known to have several friends amongst the elves of Cormanthyr, as well as several mages in far-away Mulhorand.\nHowever, he should have chosen a better place to build his tower. Within 15 years of its completion, the raids from goblins and orcs forced Rauthilar to action. He hid his tower with magic, as well as moving it from its original location to a higher point on the northern slopes of the Storm Horns.\nHe never accepted another visitor, instead visiting them. Rauthilar grew old and then vanished from the outside world. It is not known if he became a lich or simply died of old age. However, his tower still remains, and by standing at the right place in the sunset, one can still see the tower sparkle from the setting sun's rays.",
