"0": "Most of this journal is unreadable except for a few entries:\n\nDay 21:\nA guy from Kalynan showed me an artifact in his possession said to be thousands of years old, he claims he got it off a dead vampire he killed with a stake up around the forest of hope area on a hunting expedition.\nThe item is a gold goblet with some strange cryptograms and the word VALENZOFT inscribed on it.\n\nDay 24:\nUpon researching Valenzoft from various sources I have discovered they were a rich and powerfull family that flourished for over 1200 years. A fortress was said to be built on a mountain side, but was destroyed during a great battle that involved a necromancer named Devehrnak and the Valenzoft clan.\nA storm giant by the name of Ghohr was said to have been under the control of Devehrnak which he had used to destroy the fortress and drive out the remaining Valenzoft survivors. Somehow Devehrnak's power over Ghohr had weakened. Ghohr sought revenge for being mind controlled. Kor attacked Devehrnak in retaliation and they battled each other among the ruins of Valenzoft. Finally the mountian itself began to break apart from the strain. Valenzoft was later excavated and the remains of the 2 were found and buried. Spells were placed on the site of the remains to safegaurd each location from would be looters.\n\nDay 26:\nAnother vampire we encountered was part of a group that was holed up in some old mine in another part of the mountain. There must be way to get to where Valenzoft was buried. I should find this passage and see what riches await at these ruins.\n\nDay 29:\nThis was a very bad idea....these caves...they are teeming with life....I don't know where they all come from...all my mecenaries are dead, I am totally lost, and it is only a matter of time before I end up as a meal for one of these cave creatures...TO ANYONE WHO FINDS THIS...GO BACK TO KALYNAN! TO PROCEED IS CERTAIN DEATH....\n\nThe journal ends here."
