Wemic Hak Pack v1.0
by Eligio Sacateca and Ghostfactory

Notes
=-=-=

This Zip File contains a demo module, two hak paks and associated files.

********************************
*** DEMO - The Lion King.HAK ***
********************************

The demo module shows off the Wemics. To use it, simply drop it in your modules directory and put Wemic.hak and pcpackv2.hak into your /hak directory. Then fire it up.

If you want to play a Wemic in the demo module, follow the instructions under "With CC" below. The module is already set up to accomodate Wemic PCs. You just have to do Part A and Part C (PART C is already done so the module is 'Wemic-Aware').

*****************
*** WEMIC.HAK ***
*****************

This hak pak contains the following new creatures and items:
1) Wemic male and female PC models
   -------------------------------
These are full PC models. If you swap in or out the armor the upper body will fully replace. Includes the entire 154 PC animation sets. The lion's body is based on batinthehat's manticore (skinmesh). The upper body is based on the half-orc. There is a different version for the male and female. They may either be used stand-alone in your module as NPCs or they may be used in conjunction with CODI's Character Creator (http://www.city-of-doors.com/) as PCs.

2) Azande shield
   ----------------------------------------
This is item 5 in the tower shields category, 3 different Azande shield designs. Goes well with the Wemic.

3) Zulu shield
   -----------
This is item 5 in the large shields category, 3 different Zulu shield designs. Goes well with the Wemic.

I did not include blueprints because these are regular shields.

********************
*** PCPACKV2.HAK ***
********************

This hak pack contains all of the files you need to use the Wemic as a PC. This is v2 of pcpackv1 (it supports all of the creatures in the original hak pak as well).

This zip file also contains all of the other files you need to use teh Wemic as a PC (primarily ECL scripts).

To use thes files, follow these directions:

Standalone
-----------
1. Extract wemic.hak to your hak directory.
2. Open up your module.
3. Go to Edit | Module Properties...
4. On the Custom Content tab, add wemic.hak to your module.
5. Import wemic.erf as the blueprint for your Wemic NPCs.
6. That's it. Easy, isn't it?

With CC
-----------
PART A
1. Extract wemic.hak and pcpackv2.hak to your hak directory.
2. Back up your dialog.tlk file as something like original_dialog.tlk. When you go to upgrade your game you will have to copy it back otherwise the automatic update will fail.
3. Copy the included dialog.tlk file into your nwn directory.
4. Copy pmw0.mdl and pfw0.mdl into your /override directory.

PART B
5. Open up your module.
6. Go to Edit | Module Properties...
7. On the Custom Content tab, add pcpackv2.hak and wemic.hak to your module. Make sure pcpackv2.hack is above wemic.hak (has higher priority).
8. Import wemic.erf as the blueprint for your Wemic NPCs if you want NPCs.
9. Import the ECL scripts as per the instructions in the included ECL readme files (or if you want to use other races like gnomes, import the combined ECL and skin scripts as per the included readme files).

PART C
10. Open up the CC.
11. Select Settings.
12. Add pcpackv2.hak and wemic.hak in the hak files. Make sure pcpackv2.hak is above wemic.hak (has higher priority).
13. Create your character.
14. Away you go.

Minor Issue with Aurora Toolset:
When you change the colours of an NPC the toolset will white out the skinmesh briefly. Close the properties window of the NPC and re-open it to restore the skinmesh colour. Nothing I can do about this - it is a 'feature' of the toolset.

Enjoy!
